3/4 Hizb 45

Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
