3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
