Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I am purely a Herald of Warning – and there is no God except Allah, the One, the All Dominant.” 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner." 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 for an appointed time". 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 (Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say, 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
