Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
