3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And, his progeny, them We made the survivors (i.e. Shem, Ham and Japheth). 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
