Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 We drowned all the others (besides Noah and his people). 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him – We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled your dream." Thus do We reward the good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
