And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
