And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
