We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
