Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
