THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
