We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
