Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
