We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
