Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
