And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
