We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
