Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he ran to the laden ship, 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 Will you not then reflect? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So you and your deities 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 and watch them. They, too, will watch. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
