Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Mankind! fear your Lord; verily the quake of the Hour shall be a thing mighty. 1 on the day when you behold it, every suckling woman shall neglect the child she has suckled, and every pregnant woman shall deposit her burden, and thou shalt see mankind drunk, yet they are not drunk, but God's chastisement is terrible. 2 And of mankind is he who disputeth respecting Allah without knowledge, and followeth any satan froward. 3 Who, it is inscribed, will beguile whoever follows him, and lead him to the torment of Hell. 4 O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs). 5 That is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over all things competent 6 And [know, O man] that the Last Hour is bound to come, beyond any doubt, and that God will [indeed] resurrect all who are in their graves. 7 And there is one who argues concerning Allah without having knowledge nor any proof nor a clear text. 8 Bending his neck, that he may lead astray from the way of Allah; his shall be humiliation in the world, and We shall make him taste on the Day of Judgment the torment of burning. 9 “This is the recompense of what your hands have sent ahead, and Allah does not oppress His bondmen." 10
