Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you judge? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 And we are those who sing hallelujas to Him." 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 “If we had some advice from the earlier generations,” 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the apostles: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 So when it does descend in their courtyards so what an evil morning it will be for those who were warned! 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
