The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And the earth throws out its burdens, 2 And man saith: What aileth her? 3 On that Day it shall proclaim its news, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 whoever has done the smallest particle of good will see it; 7 and whoever has done an atom's weight of evil, will also see it. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
