And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 Wherefore verily neither ye nor that which ye worship, 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 we are the rangers, 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves, the Messengers, 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
