The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 or orders piety? 12 Did you consider: what if he gives the lie (to the Truth) and turns away (from it)? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
