And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 shall We treat those who believe and do good works the same as those who spread corruption in the land; shall We treat the pious the same as the wicked? 28 This is the Blessed Book that We have revealed to you, (O Muhammad), that people with understanding may reflect over its verses and those with understanding derive a lesson. 29 And We gave unto David Solomon; how excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 Then he said: Surely I preferred the good things to the remembrance of my Lord-- until the sun set and time for Asr prayer was over, (he said): 32 (he ordered): “Bring these horses back to me,” and then he began to gently stroke their shanks and necks. 33 Certainly We tried Solomon, and We cast upon his throne a mere body; then he repented. 34 He said: My Lord! do Thou forgive me and grant me a kingdom which is not fit for (being inherited by) anyone after me; 35 So, We subjected to him the wind, it blew gently to his order whithersoever he willed, 36 And We subjected to him the evil ones: every builder and diver. 37 And others fettered in chains. 38 “This is Our bestowal. So give or withhold as you wish without account.” 39 And he has a place near to Us, and a fine return. 40
