Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 #NAME? 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Did we take them as an object of mockery, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! 64
