Bring to mind Our servant Job who cried to his Lord, "Satan has afflicted me with distress and suffering." 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end, 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will say, "Nor you! No welcome for you. You, [our leaders], brought this upon us, and wretched is the settlement." 60 They will say: our Lord! whosever hath brought this upon us, unto him increase doubly the torment of the Fire. 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
