Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 I am told (about matters) by means of revelation only because I am a clear warner.” 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 “So when I have perfected him and breathed into him a spirit from Myself, (you all) fall down before him in prostration.” 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them: 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 'My curse shall rest on you until the Day of Recompense' 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 “Except Your chosen bondmen among them.” 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 And ye shall surely come to know the truth thereof after a season. 88
