Say, "[God says] O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world will have a good reward -- and God's earth is spacious. Truly, those who persevere patiently will be requited without measure." 10 Say: I am commanded that I should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience. 11 and I am bidden to be the first of those who surrender to Him.” 12 Say thou: verily I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, torment of a Day mighty. 13 Say: "God alone do I worship, sincere in my faith in Him alone 14 "Serve ye what ye will besides him." Say: "Truly, those in loss are those who lose their own souls and their People on the Day of Judgment: Ah! that is indeed the (real and) evident Loss! 15 Above and below them their will be shadows of fire. This is how God frightens His servants. My servants have fear of Me. 16 Those who shun the worship of idols and turn in repentance to Allah for them glad tidings. Therefore give good tidings to My worshipers, 17 Those who listen to the Word, and follow the best (meaning) in it: those are the ones whom Allah has guided, and those are the ones endued with understanding. 18 What! as for him then against whom the sentence of chastisement is due: What! can you save him who is in the fire? 19 Those who have fear of their Lord will have lofty mansions built upon mansions beneath which streams flow. It is the promise of God. God does not disregard His promise. 20 Do you not see that God sends down water from the sky, then makes it flow in rills on the earth, and brings forth corn from it which, having passed through changes of shade and colour, comes to ripen, and you see it autumnal yellow; then He reduces it to chaff. There are indeed lessons in this for those who are wise. 21
