Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 Labouring, wearied out, 3 They will suffer the heat of the blazing fire 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 There is no food for them except thorns of fire. 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 And goblets ready placed! 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And the mountains – how they have been established? 19 And the earth – how it has been spread out? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 You are not at all a guardian over them. 22 However, he who turns away and disbelieves - 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
