۞ SAY: "[Thus speaks God:] 'O you servants of Mine who have transgressed against your own selves! Despair not of God's mercy: behold, God forgives all sins - for, verily, He alone is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!'" 53 Turn to your Lord and submit to Him before His scourge overtakes you, for then you shall not be helped. 54 And ere that suffering comes upon you of a sudden, without your being aware [of its approach,] follow the most goodly [teaching] that has been revealed unto you by your Sustainer, 55 lest anyone should say, "Alas for me, for having neglected what is due to God, and having been one of those who scoffed!" 56 Or, lest it should say: 'If Allah had only guided me I would have been one of the cautious' 57 "Or (lest) it should say when it (actually) sees the penalty: 'If only I had another chance, I should certainly be among those who do good!' 58 'Indeed, My verses did come to you, but you belied them. You were proud and became one of the unbelievers' 59 If you see those who had imputed lies to God on the Day of Resurrection, black would be their faces (with disgrace). Is there not a place in Hell for the arrogant? 60 And Allah shall deliver those who guard (against evil) with their achievement; evil shall not touch them, nor shall they grieve. 61 Allah is the Creator of everything, and He is over everything a Trustee. 62 In His hands are the keys of the treasuries of the heavens and the earth. Those who reject God's revelations will be lost. 63
