Do you not consider those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah - how are they averted? 69 Those who deny the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers - they are going to know, 70 When the fetters and chains are on their necks, and they dragged 71 In boiling water; they will then be ignited* in the fire. (Like fuel – see verse 2:24) 72 And then they will be asked: "Where now are those [powers] to which you were wont to ascribe divinity 73 Apart from God?" They will answer: "They have left us in the lurch and fled. In fact it was nothing that we prayed to before." That is how God sends the unbelievers astray. 74 "This is so because you went about exulting wrongfully in the land," (will they be told), "and you were insolent. 75 "Enter ye the gates of Hell, to dwell therein: and evil is (this) abode of the arrogant!" 76 So be patient [Prophet], for God's promise is true: whether We show you part of what We have promised them in this life, or cause you to die first, it is to Us that they will be recalled. 77 Assuredly We have sent apostles before thee, of them are these whose story We have recounted unto thee and these whose story We have not recounted unto thee. And it was not possible for any apostle that he should bring a sign save by Allah's leave. So when the commade of Allah cometh, judgment will be given with truth, and then will lose the followers of falsehood. 78
