Al-Imraan 14 of 20
O you who believe! do not devour usury, making it double and redouble, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, that you may be successful. 130 And ward off (from yourselves) the Fire prepared for disbelievers. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another to attain to your Sustainer's forgiveness and to a paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, which has been readied for the God-conscious 133 Those who spend [in Allah's Cause - deeds of charity, alms, etc.] in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon men; verily, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (the good-doers). 134 and who, when they have committed a shameful deed or have [otherwise] sinned against themselves, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven - for who but God could forgive sins? - and do not knowingly persist in doing whatever [wrong] they may have done. 135 Their recompense is pardon by their Lord, and gardens with streams of running water where they will abide for ever. How fair is the recompense of those who act! 136 Similar situations [as yours] have passed on before you, so proceed throughout the earth and observe how was the end of those who denied. 137 This Quran is an exposition for the people and a guidance and admonition for those who fear God. 138 And be not infirm, and be not grieving, and you shall have the upper hand if you are believers. 139 If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers - 140 And that Allah may prove those who believe, and may blight the disbelievers. 141 Do you think you will go to Paradise while God does not know who among you strive and persist? 142 And verily ye used to wish for death before ye met it (in the field). Now ye have seen it with your eyes! 143

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
