Observest thou not those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah? whither are they turning away! 69 Those who belie the Book and that with which We sent Our Messengers shall soon know. 70 When the shackles are around their necks and the chains; they will be dragged 71 Into the boiling water; then into the Fire they will be stocked. 72 It will then be asked of them: 'Where are those whom you associated, 73 Beside Allah? They say: They have failed us; but we used not to pray to anything before. Thus doth Allah send astray the disbelievers (in His guidance). 74 this is an outcome of your having arrogantly exulted on earth without any [concern for what is] right, and of your having been so full of self-conceit! 75 Enter the gates of Gehenna and live there for ever. Evil is the lodging of the proud. 76 So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
