Elucidated (Fussilat)

54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Ha'. Mim. 1 A Revelation from (Allah), Most Gracious, Most Merciful;- 2 A Book whereof the Verses are explained in detail; A Quran in Arabic for people who know. 3 Good tidings and a warning. But most of them turn away so that they hear not. 4 And they say: "Our hearts are under coverings (screened) from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a screen, so work you (on your way); verily, we are working (on our way)." 5 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So take the straight path to Him and ask His forgiveness." Woe to those who associate others with Him, 6 (To) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter. 7 [But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending! 8
