When Abraham said to his father and his people, "I boldly renounce what you worship 26 Save Him Who created me, for surely He will guide me. 27 This is the legacy he left to his descendants so that they may turn (to God). 28 Nay, but I gave (the good things of this life) to these (polytheists) and their fathers to enjoy, till there came to them the truth (the Quran), and a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) making things clear. 29 Yet when the truth had come to them, they said: "This is sorcery. We shall never believe in it." 30 They also said: 'Why was this Koran not sent down to a great man from the two Villages' 31 Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We who have distributed their sustenance in this world and raised the positions of some of them above the others so that they would mock each other. The mercy of your Lord is better than what they can amass. 32 If it were not that all mankind might have become one community [of disbelievers], We could have given all those who deny the Lord of Mercy, houses with roofs of silver, silver staircases to ascend, 33 And (silver) doors to their houses, and thrones (of silver) on which they could recline, 34 And diverse adornments; and all this is usage only of the life of this world; and the Hereafter with your Lord, is for the pious. 35
