He who is negligent to remember the Merciful One, to him We assign a satan as his boon companion, 36 and these satans hinder them from the Right Path, while he still reckons himself to be rightly-guided. 37 When such a person comes to Us, he will say [to his comrade], "If only you had been as far away from me as east is from west. What an evil comrade!" 38 And never will it benefit you that Day, when you have wronged, that you are [all] sharing in the punishment. 39 Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? 40 So if We take you away, We shall then indeed take revenge from them. 41 or We show you a part of that which We have promised them, for indeed We have power over them. 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 And most surely it is a reminder for you and your people, and you shall soon be questioned. 44 And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint aliha (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Beneficent (Allah)?" 45
