Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7

As for one who turns away from the remembrance of the Gracious God, We appoint for him a devil, who will become his intimate companion. 36 And most surely they turn them away from the path, and they think that they are guided aright: 37 At length, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says (to his evil companion): "Would that between me and thee were the distance of East and West!" Ah! evil is the companion (indeed)! 38 And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement. 39 Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? 40 We shall inflict retribution on them, whether We take you away from the world (before We do that), 41 Or if We shew thee that wherewith We threaten them, verily We are going to prevail over them. 42 Follow devotedly that which is revealed to you. You are certainly on the right path. 43 The Quran is a reminder to you and to your people and you will soon be questioned about it. 44 Ask those of Our Messengers We sent before thee: Have We appointed, apart from the All-merciful, gods to be served? 45
