۞ When [Jesus] the son of Mary is held up as an example, your people raise an outcry on this, 57 And they say, "Are our gods best, or he?" This they set forth to thee, only by way of disputation: yea, they are a contentious people. 58 He is nothing but a slave on whom We bestowed favour, and We made him a pattern for the Children of Israel. 59 And if We willed, We could have established angels on the earth instead of you. 60 He is certainly the sign of the Hour (of change). So have no doubt about it, and listen to me.
