And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 And assuredly We elected them with knowledge above the worlds. 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 These people say, 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for Our own amusement. 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Assuredly the Day of Decision is the term for all of them, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
