He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 And We knowingly chose them, among all others of their time. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 "There is no dying for us but once; and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back our fathers, if ye speak the truth! 36 Are these better or the people of Tubba and those who went before them? We destroyed them for they were a criminal people. 37 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport: 38 We did not create them except in Truth. But most of them do not know. 39 Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them, 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
