And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We did not create the heavens and earth and that between them in play. 38 We did not create them except with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 the Day when a friend shall be of no avail to his friend nor shall they be helped, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
