The tree of Zaqqum will indeed be 43 The food of the sinner! 44 Like molten brass, it seetheth in their bellies 45 Like the churning of boiling water. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 "Then pour over his head the torment of scalding water." 48 [It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 But those mindful of God will be in a safe place, 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 Dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, they will face each other; 53 Thus shall it be: and We shall espouse them to fair, wide-eyed maidens. 54 therein calling for every fruit, secure. 55 They will not taste death therein, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. 56 an act of thy Sustainer's favour: and that, that will be the triumph supreme! 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So be on the watch; they too are on the watch. 59
