Lo, the Tree of Ez-Zakkoum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 Like molten copper boiling in the belly 45 Like the churning of boiling water. 46 [And the word will be spoken:] "Seize him, [O you forces of hell,] and drag him into the midst of the blazing fire: 47 "Then pour over his head the Penalty of Boiling Water, 48 (Saying): Taste! Lo! thou wast forsooth the mighty, the noble! 49 This is what you used to doubt.” 50 Surely the godfearing shall be in a station secure 51 amidst gardens and springs. 52 Dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, they will face each other; 53 Even so (it will be). And We shall wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes. 54 therein calling for every fruit, secure. 55 and neither shall they taste death there after having passed through their erstwhile death. Thus will He have preserved them from all suffering through the blazing fire 56 A grace from your Lord; this is the great achievement. 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 Wait (for God's decree) and they too will be waiting. 59
