The food of the Zakkum tree 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 like molten copper, bubbling in the belly 45 as boiling water bubbles. 46 [A voice will cry], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell. 47 then pour over his head the anguish of burning despair! 48 "Taste it," (they will be told). "You were indeed the mighty and noble! 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 Verily! The Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2), will be in place of Security (Paradise). 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 Even so; and We shall espouse them to wide-eyed houris, 54 They call therein for every fruit in safety. 55 They will never taste death therein except the first death (of this world), and He will save them from the torment of the blazing Fire, 56 As a Bounty from your Lord! That will be the supreme success! 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59
