Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 2 Indeed there are signs for believers in the heavens and the earth. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and of the beasts that He hath scattered over the earth, are signs unto a people who are convinced. 4 and in the succession of night and day, and in the provision that Allah sends down from the sky wherewith He gives life to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the change of the winds: (in all these) there are Signs for people who use reason. 5 These are the revelations of God which We recite to you for a genuine purpose. In what statements other than God's and His revelations will they then believe? 6 Ruin is for every great slanderer, excessive sinner. 7 He hears the revelations of God which are recited to him, then persists in his arrogance as if he had not even heard them. Tell him that he will suffer a painful torment. 8 When he learns something of Our revelations, he derides them: for such there will be humiliating torment. 9 Before them is Hell; naught will avail them of that which they earned, nor those whom they took for patrons beside Allah. Theirs shall be a torment mighty. 10 This is the (true) guidance; and for those who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord is the severest of painful punishments. 11
