Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Those who disbelieve and hinder others from the way of Allah, He shall send their works astray. 1 As for those who believe and do good deeds and believe in what has been revealed to Muhammad, and it is the truth from their Lord, God will remove their sins from them and set their condition right. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow the falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. And thus Allah propoundeth unto mankind their similitude. 3 Now when ye meet in battle those who disbelieve, then it is smiting of the necks until, when ye have routed them, then making fast of bonds; and afterward either grace or ransom till the war lay down its burdens. That (is the ordinance). And if Allah willed He could have punished them (without you) but (thus it is ordained) that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He rendereth not their actions vain. 4 He will guide them and repair their condition; 5 And cause them to enter the garden which He has made known to them. 6 O you who believe! if you help (the cause of) Allah, He will help you and make firm your feet. 7 And for those who disbelieve – may they be ruined, and may Allah destroy all their deeds! 8 This is because they disliked what Allah has sent down – He has therefore squandered all their deeds. 9 ۞ So did they not travel in the land to see what sort of fate befell those who preceded them? Allah poured ruin upon them; and for the disbelievers are several like it. 10 That is because Allah is the patron of those who believe, and because the infidels! no patron is theirs. 11
