Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! 2 When we are dead and turned to dust, this returning (to life) is most far-fetched." 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Did they never observe the sky above them: how We built it and beautified it; and it has no cracks; 6 And the earth! We have spread it forth, and have cast therein firm mountains, and have caused to grow therein of every beauteous kind of plants: 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants;- and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: Thus will be the Resurrection. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
