Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the folk of Tubb'a: every one denied their messengers, therefor My threat took effect. 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
