Q (Qaaf)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it solid mountains and We brought forth from it all kinds of delightful plants, 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
