We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And death's agony comes in truth; that is what thou wast shunning! 19 And the Trumpet was blown; “This is the Day of the promised punishment.” 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
